Job summary

CarParts.com in La Salle, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment, coordinating with the Facilities Supervisor and Operations leadership on maintenance work and special projects.

You will perform audits, keep inventories, ensure safety and security protocols, and conduct routine tasks such as fire extinguisher and compressor maintenance.

Qualifications

• Maintain equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Facilities Supervisor and Operations leadership on maintenance work and projects.
• Adhere to safety and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Facilities Supervisor, Operations Manager and Director of Operations on maintenance work and special projects.
• Manage equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Execute equipment audits and record-keeping policies.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
• Fire extinguisher maintenance – annually.
• Compressor maintenance – weekly, monthly and quarterly.
• Assist in battery maintenance – keep batteries charged and watered.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the work area at the end of the shift.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
