Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment, troubleshoot, and execute TPM preventive maintenance plans to ensure continuous production.

The role may include basic mechanical or electrical work as qualified. Responsibilities include coordinating with production for maintenance, keeping maintenance records, and ensuring safety and 5S3R standards at the site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational certificate or associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Journeyman’s certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment and controls to ensure operation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the production department and troubleshoot in production areas.
• Prepare and manage periodic preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain records of all preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work.
• Coordinate with external sources for maintenance of complex issues.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and maintains a safe work environment.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance documents, daily reports and check sheets.
• Maintain work-site cleanliness per 5S3R standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right location, right quantity, right container.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Summary

This position will engage in production equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production, including troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance plan execution (TPM), and equipment modification. May also be involved with basic mechanical or electrical work as needed and as qualified.

Responsibilities

• Perform responsibilities of conducting corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and their controls to ensure operation of machinery
• Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate preventative maintenance and troubleshooting work in production areas
• Prepare and manage periodic preventative maintenance schedule
• Keep the records of all preventative maintenance and troubleshooting works
• Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues
• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
• Prepare and maintain maintenance related documents of daily report and check sheets
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
• Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 1-3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent relevant experience required
• Understanding of production and processing equipment
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
