Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is seeking a seasoned maintenance technician to keep production equipment running smoothly. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support TPM plans to minimize downtime.

You will coordinate with the production team, maintain maintenance records, and train new technicians while upholding 5S3R standards for a clean, organized site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational certificate or Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Repair or maintain industrial machinery and controls.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and coordinate with production for maintenance work.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and records.
• Train and mentor new maintenance technicians and ensure 5S3R standards are followed.

Summary:

This position will engage in production equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production, including troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance plan execution (TPM), and equipment modification. May also be involved with basic mechanical or electrical work as needed and as qualified.

Responsibilities:

• Perform responsibilities of conducting corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and their controls to ensure operation of machinery
• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment
• Troubleshoot causes of mechanical and electrical errors
• Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate preventative maintenance and troubleshooting work in production areas
• Prepare and manages periodic preventative maintenance schedule
• Responsible for keeping the records of all preventative maintenance and troubleshooting works
• Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues
• Provide initial and continuous hands‑on training in equipment functions, features, and repairs for new employees
• Prepare and maintain maintenance related documents of daily report and check sheets
• Mentor and train new maintenance technicians
• Maintain cleanliness at work‑site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
• Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
• Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
• Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent preferred

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience or equivalent relevant experience required
• PLC experience preferred
• Understanding of production and processing equipment
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
