Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to support production equipment. You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to TPM plans to keep lines running.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, possibly an associate degree, PLC experience, and a practical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. You will work with production teams, document maintenance activities, and uphold 5S3R standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
• Journeyman’s certificate or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and their controls to ensure operation of machinery.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance with the production department and troubleshoot work in production areas.
• Prepare and manage periodic preventative maintenance schedule.
• Keep records of all preventative maintenance and troubleshooting works.
• Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues.
• Ensure work is completed safely and maintain a safe work environment.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance related documents of daily report and check sheets.
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site according to 5S3R standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary:

This position will engage in production equipment maintenance to ensure continuous production, including troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance plan execution (TPM), and equipment modification. May also be involved with basic mechanical or electrical work as needed and as qualified.

Responsibilities:

• Perform responsibilities of conducting corrective and preventative maintenance of production equipment and their controls to ensure operation of machinery
• Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate preventative maintenance and troubleshooting work in production areas
• Prepare and manage periodic preventative maintenance schedule
• Keep the records of all preventative maintenance and troubleshooting works
• Coordinate with outside sources to schedule maintenance for more complex issues
• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
• Prepare and maintain maintenance related documents of daily report and check sheets
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required

Experience:

• 1-3+ years ofrelated experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent relevant experience required
• PLC experience preferred
• Understanding of production and processing equipment
• Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
