Veolia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve the condition and readiness of our Kansas City, MO facility. Under the supervision of the Plant General Manager, you will diagnose, schedule, and perform repairs on all plant equipment in a physically active role.

You will use carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills for minor repairs, document completed work orders and follow safety protocols, PPE, and lockout/tagout. Must pass background checks.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED; 2+ years maintenance experience.
• Pass physical, drug test and background check; safety and compliance focus.
• Preferred boiler, welding or electrical certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, HVAC, roofing and related items.
• Diagnose, schedule and repair plant equipment.
• Maintain buildings and grounds; perform minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical work.
• Read manuals to assist repairs and operate safely with PPE.
• Document work orders and develop preventive maintenance procedures.
• Work in a clean, safe and efficient facility; pass DEA background checks when relevant.

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Plant General Manager, the Maintenance Technician, will work to preserve the condition and operational readiness of our facility in Kansas City, MO. This will include conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. This is a physically active role requiring the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment including bending, climbing, crawling, manual dexterity, and frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing approximately 40 pounds. Under the supervision of the Plant General Manager, the Maintenance Technician, will work to preserve the condition and operational readiness of our facility in Kansas City, MO. This will include conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment. This is a physically active role requiring the ability to maneuver around heavy equipment including bending, climbing, crawling, manual dexterity, and frequently lifting and carrying objects weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on conveyors, HVAC, roofing and other related items around the location
• conducting diagnostic assessments, scheduling and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Perform tasks for the upkeep of buildings and grounds
• Utilize carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills for minor repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance of pumps and motors
• Ability to read manuals to assist in repairs
• Always maintain a clean and pristine work area
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures, document completed work orders and perform other assignments to ensure a safe, clean healthy and efficient facility.
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
• Required to wear company-provided personal protective equipment including eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
• Ability to maneuver around heavy equipment including bending, climbing, crawling, manual dexterity, and occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a DEA background check when relevant.
• Must be willing and able to abide by Clean Earth’s Core Values and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience 2+ years in maintenance related field
• Must pass physical, drug test and background check
• Understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, and compliance protocols

Preferred Requirements:

• Certification or license in boiler, welding or electrical field
• Associate Degree from a two-year college or technical school in related field
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and OSHA training
• A strong knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
