Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve the equipment and readiness of our facility in Fernley, NV. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain plant systems and rolling stock, following preventative procedures and safety protocols to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• General knowledge in maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, pump repair, forklift repairs, and plumbing.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Good communication skills; safety-focused.
• Physically capable of manual labor and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness and ability to learn.
• Ability to manage the workload ahead.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Associate degree in related field.
• Hazardous material handling knowledge and OSHA training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic assessments, scheduling, and performing repairs and maintenance on all plant equipment.
• Develop preventative maintenance procedures, document completed work orders and perform other assignments.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on rolling stock.
• Carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills for minor repairs.
• Read manuals to assist in repairs.
• Maintain a clean and pristine work area at all times.

Qualifications

Preferred Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to pass a physical, drug test, and DEA background check.

Additional Information

Pay starting at $35.00 hourly
