Job summary

Valley Craft Industries, Inc. is seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician I to keep our equipment and facility running safely and smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, address routine issues, and grow skills with an experienced team.

The role is ideal for someone early in their maintenance career, offering room to grow, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a strong safety-focused shop culture.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience or an associate degree in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of AC and DC electrical diagnostics, including 24V control circuits.
• Ability to follow standard wiring practices for 120V, 240V, and three-phase power circuits.
• Basic plumbing and fitting knowledge.
• Familiarity with metalworking equipment and processes.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and protocols.
• Willingness to become certified on forklifts, mechanical lifting equipment, and manlifts.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and the facility.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and machines on a regular schedule.
• Change filters on rooftop HVAC units and other facility equipment.
• Identify tools and equipment showing signs of wear before major failures occur.
• Troubleshoot minor electrical and hydraulic issues and repair hydraulic leaks under supervision.
• Inspect lifting devices to confirm they meet current safety standards.
• Help build safety equipment, machine guarding, and structural protection devices.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

About the Role

We're looking for a driven, hands-on Maintenance Technician I to keep our equipment and facility running safely and smoothly. Working under the direction of the department manager, you'll handle preventive and day-to-day maintenance, help catch problems before they become breakdowns, and build your skills alongside an experienced team. This is a great fit for someone early in their maintenance career who wants room to grow.

What You'll Do

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to work in varying conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Schedule

• Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
• Occasional overtime may be requested based on need
