Job summary

Capstone Real Estate Investments, LLC seeks a Maintenance Technician to support our Lafayette community. You will handle work orders, grounds and common area upkeep, and foster positive resident relations under the supervision of the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.

The role requires reliable, customer-focused service, the ability to work weekends or overtime, and the flexibility to respond to emergencies as needed. EPA or CAMT credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; maintenance experience preferred.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work weekends or overtime as job requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, guests, employees, and contractors.
• Complete routine service requests within 24 hours under direction of Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain clean condition of the community.
• Keep maintenance shop organized and in good order.
• Report maintenance issues to the Supervisor and Community Manager for review.
• Assist in other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Summary

Under the supervision of the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of responsibilities including work orders, grounds and common area clean up and maintenance, and maintaining good resident relations.

The Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Technician are on-call for maintenance emergencies 24 hours per day, 7 days per week or as scheduled.

Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Providing excellent service to residents, guests, employees and contractors.
• Completing all routine service requests within 24 hours at the direction of Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensuring the clean condition of the community at all times.
• Maintaining the maintenance shop according to policy.
• Reporting maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager for review.
• Assisting in other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED certificate and experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in English.
• Ability to work weekends or overtime as job requires.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• EPA Certification preferred, Universal preferred
• City and/or State certification requirements must be met if applicable (i.e. pool operations, maintenance, electricians, etc.)
• Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor field environment; travel from site to site; exposure to dust, grease, noise, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and all types of weather and temperature conditions. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to climb unusual heights on ladders; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
