Job description

HOT TOPIC DISTRIBUTION CENTER IS HIRING DIRECTLY FOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS.

This position performs general and preventive maintenance on MHE (Material-Handling Equipment), such as all DC conveyor systems, Put-To-Light, related support systems, and non-MHE in the distribution center, by completing repairs or replacing defective components. This role also maintains parts inventory for system components and up-to-date equipment technical materials, along with other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

SCHEDULE

All shifts are subject to mandatory overtime as needed.

• Wednesday-Saturday 4:00pm-2:30am.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred working with MHE systems in a preventive maintenance capacity.
• Experience in mechanical and pneumatic is preferred.
• Knowledge of repairing and adjusting conveyor systems (such as lace conveyor belts and track conveyor belts, etc).
• Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals 24V-460V.
• Have experience working with photo-eye sensors.
• Knowledge and ability to use a wide variety of mechanical tools and equipment.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and be a solid verbal and written communicator.
• Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
• Approach obstacles proactively and look for ways to resolve problems and issues.
• Frequently required to stand, bend, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. May lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• May be exposed to some chemicals when performing the job.
