Job summary

Worldpac is looking for a Maintenance I team member to perform general and preventative maintenance on equipment, machinery, and structures at the Distribution Center in Norton, Massachusetts. Responsibilities include completing repairs, assisting with troubleshooting, and ensuring safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A willingness to work various shifts and overtime is required.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • At least 6 months of related experience.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must pass the Basic Mechanical and Industrial Mechanical Skill Assessment.

Job Description

The Maintenance I position performs general and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, structures and grounds within the Distribution Center property line.

Responsibilities
  • Complete general repairs and routine preventative maintenance.
  • Assist DC Maintenance Manager with troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery.
  • Perform basic inspections and ensure all hazardous materials are stored safely.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Essential Job Skills
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Understanding the metric system.
  • Basic understanding of hand, power and shop tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • General administrative, organizational and communication skills.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • At least 6 months of related experience.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, departments and locations as needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.

Ideal Candidates
  • Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Extremely organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in maintenance, construction or other related field.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Education
  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
Certificates, Licenses
  • Post-hire certification may be required to comply with safety standards as mandated by law to operate machinery or equipment.
