Job summary

Genesis Products is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role offers an opportunity for growth for a skilled technician.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will work closely with operational teams to conduct maintenance, ensure equipment uptime, and support preventative maintenance programs. Genesis Products values hands-on expertise in mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systems, and welding, with 5-7+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read blueprints and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experienced with mechanical, pneumatic, control, and electrical systems.
• Experience with wood processing machinery is a plus (i.e., CNC routers, Edge banders, HPL and paper lamination).
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to multitask, prioritize work orders, and resolve equipment issues as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment issues by observing machinery operation and using measuring/testing instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on plant equipment and facilities.
• Install, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical systems as directed.
• Inspect and measure parts for wear and ensure dimensional accuracy using precision instruments.
• Adjust and align equipment using hand tools and standard measurement devices.
• Follow established preventative maintenance schedules and document maintenance activities clearly.
• Support the reliability and efficient operation of plant machinery by responding promptly to maintenance requests.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
