Responsibilities
As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include :
1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery including motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical faults and malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
3. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
4. Inspecting and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.
5. Repairing or replacing faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices.
6. Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting pump systems.
7. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and fix them before they cause breakdowns.
8. Collaborating with the engineering team to implement new machinery and equipment.
9. Providing technical guidance to other team members as needed.
10. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Maintenance Technician role should possess the following qualifications :
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role in the Tech Services industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of various types of machinery including motors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
3. Excellent ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
4. Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and machinery wiring.
5. Proficiency in mechanical maintenance and pump systems.
6. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A strong commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
9. A degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
