Job summary

Best Western Plus Sports Complex in Kansas City, MO is seeking a motivated Full-Time Daytime Maintenance Technician to handle preventative maintenance and guest room upkeep, ensuring hotel facilities stay in top condition.

You will perform routine tasks, respond to daytime requests, coordinate with housekeeping, and report progress to the General Manager, with a stable daytime schedule and reliable transportation as a requirement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar field (apartment maintenance, building facilities, handyman work) strongly preferred.
• Strong self-motivation, time-management skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Friendly, professional customer service demeanor when interacting with daytime guests.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance in guest rooms (e.g., minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC filter changes, drywall repairs, lighting, and general fixtures).
• Respond promptly to daytime guest requests, front desk calls, and urgent room repairs.
• Inspect guest rooms, grounds, and public areas daily to identify and resolve potential safety or maintenance issues proactively.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools/supplies are properly inventoried and stored.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and front desk staff to minimize guest disturbance during repairs.
• Report daily progress and any major repairs needed directly to the General Manager.

The Best Western Plus Sports Complex is seeking a motivated, reliable Full-Time Daytime Maintenance Technician to join our team! This position is primarily focused on performing preventative maintenance and handling daily facility needs to ensure our hotel and guest rooms remain in top condition.

Because you will be working during our peak operational hours, we need a proactive self-starter who takes initiative, communicates effectively with daytime staff, and works well both independently and alongside our team. You will report directly to the General Manager.
