Job summary

Summit Truck Bodies, LLC in Wathena, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment reliability and safety. You will perform preventive maintenance on CNC machinery (laser, punch, press-brake, robotics) and keep facilities in top condition, including grounds, roofs, plumbing and HVAC systems.

Qualifications include a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience, electronics/hydraulics knowledge, and ability to operate forklifts and snow plows.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical school degree in engineering or mechanical discipline, or equivalent work history.
• Background in electronics, digital circuits, mechanics, hydraulics, or software file management.
• Ability to efficiently use various power and hand tools.
• Ability to work with multiple priorities and constant interruptions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Valid Driver’s License with an MVR in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facilities and grounds.
• Preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, including laser-cutting, punching, press-brake, and robotics.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; diagnose and resolve issues.
• Operate forklift and snow plow as needed.
• Assist with miscellaneous facility repairs (roof, plumbing, boiler systems).

This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on high-tech CNC industrial machinery—including laser-cutting, punching, press-brake, and robotic systems—as well as maintaining the facility and grounds.
