Job summary

Summit Truck Bodies in Wathena, KS is seeking a production drafter to prepare new product design layouts, parts, weldments and assemblies. You will revise drawings, create bills of materials, and assign part numbers while coordinating with Engineering and Sales to meet project goals.

The role requires AutoCAD/Autodesk Inventor experience, a high school diploma or drafting degree, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; drafting degree preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor; metal fabrication experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR; ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and computer skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new product design layouts, parts, weldments and assemblies.
• Revise and correct existing drawings.
• Create bills of materials and part lists for assembly drawings.
• Interact with Engineering Manager/Specialist and Sales to interpret project direction.
