Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will maintain production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.

Compensation

$33.84 - $41.07 an hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Learning the processes of how products are made and all the steps that go into it.
  • Learning about site-specific equipment and how it should properly function.
  • Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments.
  • Dismantling and reassembling of equipment using hand and power tools.
  • Inspecting and assessing the wear and remaining useful life of various power transmission components.
  • Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with the Company’s procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
  • The position is subject to 24-hour call-out, shift, and weekend work.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods. Must be able to climb stairs and work in high-up areas.
  • Proven experience working in and maintaining a safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices.
  • 3 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Millwright skills, welding and machining experience preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of appropriate use of hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals.
  • Must be able to work with computer-based maintenance software.
  • Must supply own hand tools appropriate to the equipment and environment.
