Position: Janitorial/Maintenance Technician

As a Janitorial/Maintenance Technician for Allied Universal Janitorial Services, you will perform routine electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, architectural features/finishes, and systems' maintenance for the facility to the client's standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detect faulty operations or defective materials and report to management.
• Maintain safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist mall patrons in a friendly and engaging manner when requested.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent for full-time positions.
• Certain roles may require background checks and drug screening per laws.
• Effective communication skills with customers, patrons, and employees.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Proactive in anticipating and responding to customer needs.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry; ability to read schematics and building plans; strong electrical background.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to work in various conditions, operate cleaning machinery, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
