The Lodge at Jasper, part of Phoenix Senior Living, is seeking a Maintenance Tech / Facilities Assistant to join the team and support maintenance and upkeep of the community.

You will assist the Facilities Director with minor repairs, inspections, and scheduling with vendors to ensure safe, clean, and comfortable living spaces for residents. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of job-related experience.

• Review the maintenance log daily and complete assigned tasks.
• Inspect furniture and schedule cleaning with vendors.
• Perform minor repairs such as faucet parts, latches, bulbs, hinges, and door mechanisms.
• Hang bulletin boards, pictures and coat hooks in resident suites and offices.
• Coordinate with the Facilities Director and external vendors.
• Assist with painting, furniture movement and waste removal as needed.
• Follow chemical cleaner and power equipment safety procedures.
• Vacuum/steam clean carpets and adjust HVAC filters as required.
• Notify supervisor of major repairs needing attention.

Description

The Lodge at Jasper is seeking a Maintenance Tech /Facilities Assistant to join their team!

Shift Details

Mon-Fri; Every other weekend required

PURPOSE

The Facilities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Facilities Director in the overall maintenance and upkeep of the community. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with minor repairs; collaborating in the identification, inventory and repairs as required of both large, small and on-going maintenance projects.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities

• Review the maintenance log daily and complete any task which are in the scope of your job duties (initial and date each task as completed)
• Conduct inspections of furniture and providing appropriate maintenance and schedule detail cleanings with vendors
• Complete minor repairs such as replacement of faucet washers and spindles, faulty window latches, broken tank toilet handles, unplugging clogged toilets and drains, changing light bulbs, tightening loose hinges or door mechanisms, diagnostic & repair of stand-alone saflok door lock units i.e. batteries replacement and general maintenance
• Perform task that involve hanging of bulletin boards, pictures, coat hooks and necessary items in resident’s suites and associate’s offices
• Acts as the liaison with respect to the Facilities Director, Executive Director and external vendors
• Responsible for touch up paint jobs, furniture refinishing, furniture moving, transportation of extraneous materials for elimination to proper sites
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
• Steam clean or shampoo carpet
• Make adjustments to heating cooling and ventilation system which may include changing filters
• Gather and empty trash
• Remove debris from outdoor porches, parking lot and dumpster area
• Replace light bulbs throughout the community
• Notify supervisor, by documenting in the maintenance log, concerning the need for major repairs or additions to the building operating systems

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION

• Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
• One (1) year job related experience
