Job summary

Sunward Steel is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems across our state-of-the-art plant. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and documentation to ensure peak machine performance and minimal downtime.

You will work in a team-oriented environment with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and collaborative problem solving.

• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventive maintenance inspections and servicing machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Thoroughly cleaning machines and machine parts, removing and reinstalling components as necessary.
• Oiling and lubricating moving parts on machines to maintain effective operation.
• Identifying and reporting damage, worn, or broken parts.
• Ordering and installing replacement parts for machines.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting unexpected machine breakdowns.
• Repairing broken machines quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Documenting work performed and preparing reports as required.
• Clearing, organizing, and maintaining shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinating with managers to schedule regular machine maintenance.
• Adhering to all safety rules, best practices, and company standards.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
