Job summary

Novolex in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support our 12-hour swing shifts on our packaging lines. Compensation is $28.00–$32.00 per hour. The role covers electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

We seek at least 2 years of maintenance experience, 480V 3-phase exposure, and skills with VFDs, PLCs, and multi-meters. Forklift experience is a plus; safety and continuous learning are emphasized in our environment.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Pre-employment background and drug screen required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance position.
• Electrical training/experience with 480V 3-phase.
• Experience with VFD drives and PLCs preferred.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Repair, replace, or install hydraulic systems including cylinders, pumps, valves, and hoses.
• Safely use maintenance tools and read multi-meters to identify voltage.
• Troubleshoot wiring schematics and automation equipment.

Job Description

Maintenance Technician|Jacksonville, FL|Now Hiring

Compensation:

• $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Available Shift:

• 12 hour swing shifts 1 month 7:00am-7:00pm, rotatates every month to 7:00pm-7:00am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair, replace, or install various power transmission systems and components including electrical and mechanical devices, such as gears, pulleys, sprockets, belts of various designs, bearings, drive shafts, and couplings.
• Repair, replace, or install various pneumatics systems and components, including such items as air lines and cylinders, valves, solenoids, pipe, manifolds, and pneumatic circuits.
• Repair, replace, or install various single and three phase electrical systems and components, such as motors, switches, wiring, conduit, motor starters, contractors, fuses, light bulbs, encoders, and circuit breakers.
• Repair, replace, or install various hydraulic systems and components to include but not limited to: cylinders, pumps, valves, solenoids, motors, hose, pipe and manifolds.
• Safely use a variety of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Fluently reads and uses multi-meters to identify the presence of voltage.
• Ability to troubleshoot wiring schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot automation equipment.

Qualifications:

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Performs the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Maintenance position preferred.
• Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls.
• Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures required.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Ability to successfully multitask in a fast pace environment.
