Job Description:

Summary

• Equipment Technician position for a 3-month temporary assignment; full-time employment contingent on performance; work in Biosciences Laboratories Irvine (BLI) in Irvine, CA, responsible for preventive maintenance of cGMP utilities, manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, clean rooms, and facilities, supporting GMP pharmaceutical/biotech operations safely and compliantly; troubleshoot and respond to breakdowns, emergencies, and after-hours calls.
• Performs preventive maintenance on various cGMP utilities and manufacturing equipment, HVAC, and facilities in compliance with GMP and safety regulations.
• Coordinates, performs, and documents maintenance activities such as monthly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance in CMMS (MAXIMO).
• Processes purchase orders for spare parts and service providers.
• Supports facility and utility non-conformances and assesses their impact on manufacturing, processes, and equipment.
• Completes required training within departmental SOPs and supports SOP revisions as directed by the Facilities Manager.
• Follows all Environmental, Health & Safety procedures to improve EHS performance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education:

• Associate or technical degree, or high school diploma with a minimum of 7 years of related GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience; preferred experience in predictive maintenance and mechanical/electromechanical fields.

Experience:

• Experience with GMP utilities, manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, and pharmaceutical facility maintenance and calibration programs.
• Experience with maintenance programs using CMMS software (MAXIMO).
• Knowledge of change management, non-conformance investigations, and CAPAs.
• Technical competence with systems such as RODI & WFI water, clean steam, HVAC, BMS systems.
• Experience with GMP manufacturing equipment like fermenters, bioreactors, CIP, SIP, autoclaves, washers, BSCs, waste inactivation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; working knowledge of Data Acquisition/SCADA systems is highly desirable.
