Job summary

Hilton Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance on the hotel’s physical infrastructure. You will use hand and power tools to keep the property in excellent condition, including the hotel, pool, and surrounding areas.

You will handle painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks, notify management for major repairs, and respond to guest service requests while keeping accurate records. Shift: evenings; full-time position.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of repair/maintenance experience required.
• Technical licenses such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc. are helpful.

• Observe equipment and utility meter readings daily.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain MSDS files and ensure par stocking of regularly used parts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of previous repair/maintenance experience required

Licenses/Certifications

• Technical licenses such as: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing etc. are helpful

Hourly position of $20.00 an hour
