Job summary

Franklin Cove Apartments is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper for our on-site team in Indianapolis, IN. You will maintain lawns, flower beds, and walkways, perform seasonal tasks and light repairs to keep the property safe and attractive for residents.

This full-time position requires physical stamina, reliable transportation, and a commitment to safe work practices. You will report to the property manager and collaborate with staff to uphold high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must have grounds maintenance skills including lawn care, landscaping and basic outdoor repairs.
• Safe use of landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers and hand tools.
• Strong time management and organization to complete daily tasks and seasonal needs.
• Good communication and teamwork to coordinate with property management and staff.
• Capable of physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior groundskeeping or facilities maintenance experience is beneficial.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality and a consistent work ethic are required.
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to property policies and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns; maintain flower beds and shrubbery.
• Keep walkways, parking lots and common areas free of trash, weeds and hazards.
• Seasonal upkeep such as leaf removal and snow/ice management; prepare outdoor spaces for weather changes.
• Report maintenance issues to the property manager and track progress.

Role Description
