Position Description

The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance, tile work, minor electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, painting, wallpapering, etc. Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed and performs scheduled maintenance of equipment during normal working hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Implement preventative maintenance programs for restaurant buildings and equipment, including cleaning, adjusting, lubricating, and tightening equipment.
2. Assist field service technicians when needed.
3. Identify field service issues and report them to the maintenance director.
4. Maintain organized records and reports of all maintenance activities.
5. Support the maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment to ensure smooth operations.
6. Provide normal and emergency equipment repairs; coordinate with outside vendors when necessary.
7. Support the field operations and help ensure the efficient operation of restaurants.
8. Work hours are typically from 7AM to 4PM, with after-hours work as required.
9. On-call every other weekend and up to 20% night work as needed.

Qualifications

• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Formal HVACR education is required.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to safely reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to respond promptly to emergency situations to prevent imminent dangers.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• At least 2 years of installation experience.
• Minimum of 3 years troubleshooting and repair experience.
