Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain equipment in a state of readiness, perform inspections and preventative maintenance, and prepare daily/weekly reports. The role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining fixed mechanical equipment and systems across our facilities.

You will troubleshoot, perform emergency repairs, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies. A background of 2+ years in mechanical repair and basic shop skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and general plant maintenance: change screens, welding, cutting torch, wrenching (hand tools).
• Operating a skid-steer or man-lift is a plus.
• Stick/arc welding and lite fabrication is a plus.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment following manufacturer service intervals and company procedures.
• Inspects equipment and reports required repairs to Supervisor.
• Performs emergency repairs to address plant breakdowns.
• Adheres to safety, environmental and company policies; completes required paperwork.
• Promotes health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments.

Maintenance Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment in a state of readiness. Preforms the appropriate production equipment inspections and preventative maintenance. Prepares all required daily/weekly department operating reports. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment, systems and machinery.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plan equipment by following the manufacture’s recommended service intervals and company procedures. Maintains an inventory of regularly required replacement parts.
• Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments. Reports required repairs or other findings to Supervisor.
• Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns.
• Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience: 2+ years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry

• Must have a working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude, general plant maintenance experience - change screens, welding, cutting torch, wrenching (hand tools)
• Operating a skid-steer, man-lift a plus.
• Stick welding, arc welding, and lite fabrication a plus
• Must have basic computer skills

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
