Job summary

Lynd Management Group, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to service a multifamily property in Houston, Texas. You will handle general maintenance, diagnose HVAC issues, perform plumbing and electrical repairs, and help with apartment make-readies.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, quality workmanship, and delivering prompt, professional service to residents. A valid driver’s license is preferred and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of facility, commercial, or multifamily maintenance experience
• Hands-on problem-solver with quality workmanship
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Safe operation of standard maintenance tools

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders on time
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems; perform preventive maintenance
• Complete plumbing repairs, including leaks and clogs
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures
• Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other features
• Paint, touch-ups, and make-ready duties for apartments
• Inspect vacant apartments to ensure move-in readiness
• Maintain pools, grounds, common areas, and maintenance rooms
• Complete preventive maintenance projects and keep service records
• Report major repairs and safety hazards to Supervisor/Property Manager
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours emergencies

What You'll Do

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders accurately and on time.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks and removing clogs.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures and related components.
• Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other apartment features.
• Complete painting, touch-ups, and other apartment make-ready duties.
• Inspect vacant apartments and help ensure they are ready for move-in.
• Maintain pools, equipment, common areas, grounds, maintenance rooms, and other property facilities.
• Complete preventive maintenance projects and maintain accurate service records.
• Report major repairs, safety hazards, and contractor needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
• Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and supplies.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.

What We're Looking For

• A valid driver’s license is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three years of facility, commercial, or multifamily maintenance and mechanical repair experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, lighting, painting, flooring, and apartment repairs.
• Ability to safely operate standard and specialized maintenance tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Professional customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer and mobile technology skills.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator and CAMT certifications preferred.
• Technical school, associate degree, or relevant military training is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
