Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Birmingham, AL location. The role offers a pay rate of $30–$35 per hour with a 2nd shift (2pm to 11pm) schedule and full-time hours.

You will perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment, troubleshoot and repair multi-craft systems, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical and PLC knowledge, and the ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years of multi-craft maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems (including 480V), motor controls, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with welding, fabrication, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Diagnose issues with motors, conveyors, PLCs, and control systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Install, align, and calibrate machinery and equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
