Job summary

host2coast on Hilton Head Island seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep short-term rental homes running smoothly. Your day will involve driving between properties, performing on-site repairs, preventive checks, and swiftly addressing same-day maintenance requests.

This full-time, on-site role requires weekend availability and on-call shifts. You'll work with the Maintenance Coordinator and Operations team, owning repairs until the home is ready for the next guest.

Responsibilities

• Daily and weekly maintenance across multiple short-term rental homes.
• Same-day service calls and guest maintenance requests, answered quickly.
• Basic repairs and preventive maintenance: plumbing, electrical, minor carpentry, HVAC checks and appliance troubleshooting.
• Property inspections that catch maintenance needs and keep every home at our standard.
• Maintenance supplies and inventory, stocked before you run out.
• Clear notes and records from every property visit, so the team knows where each job stands.
• Support on ongoing projects with the Maintenance Coordinator, Owner Relations and Operations.

About the brand

host2coast manages vacation homes on Hilton Head Island and throughout the Lowcountry. Our guests come for the beaches, the golf and a slower pace, and our owners trust us with homes that are often their biggest investment. Salt air, humidity and back-to-back stays are hard on a house, so we focus on two things: taking great care of the homes, and taking great care of the people staying in them.

The role

You are the person who keeps our homes working. Most of the day is on the road between properties: a same-day call about a dishwasher that will not drain, a preventive check on an AC unit before the next arrival, a door that sticks, a light fixture that needs replacing. You inspect homes to find the problems before a guest does, and you fix what you can on the spot.

It is a role for someone who likes variety, likes working with their hands and takes pride in a job done properly. Showing up is not the same as fixing it. If a repair is yours, you own it until the home is ready for the next guest.

Where you sit

You sit in Field Operations and work every day with the Maintenance Coordinator, Owner Relations Managers and the Operations team. This is not a role where you are handed a list and left alone.

This is an on-site role on Hilton Head Island, with weekend availability required and on-call shifts as needed. Because Stayd runs shared systems across every brand, a process you improve here tends to end up running in six other markets, which is the closest thing we have to a promotion path.
