Job summary

Hotel Indigo MidTown is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks. You will respond to guest service requests, inspect building systems, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, reading schematics, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Candidates should have a high school diploma (technical certification a plus) and be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with reliable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus
• Proven experience in general maintenance, facility repair, or related field
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Must pass background check and have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Perform baseline, routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical,HVAC, and carpentry
• Respond promptly to guest service requests for maintenance issues
• Inspect and maintain building systems including safety equipment and emergency lighting
• Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment and systems
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems and equipment
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas and maintenance shop
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal or landscaping
• Work with contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance logs
• Ensure compliance with hotel safety and security procedures
