Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to uphold the hotel’s physical structure, equipment, and grounds. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, address repairs across public areas, rooms, and back-of-house spaces, and keep the maintenance shop organized.

Ideal candidates bring prior maintenance experience, strong communication, and a collaborative spirit to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.

THE ROLE

Our hotel team is seeking a motivated, and energetic Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department and be responsible for the upkeep and repair of a hotel's physical structure, equipment, and grounds.

What we will ask of you:

• Perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel.
• Service hallways, public areas, and rooms as needed along with all other tasks as assigned.
• Complete all maintenance requests and tasks as assigned for the day.
• Visually inspect public areas and overall resort for cleanliness, appearance, and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of the hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to all guest requests; Practice chemical safety rules and follows procedures for needles and other hazardous materials.
• Report all suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Manager.
• Follow all Lost and Found protocols.
• Maintain high standards of guest relations when in contact with the guest.
• Ability to order supplies, to receive instructions for the day and/or to read equipment manuals including safety information.

Requirements for Success:

• Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
• Prior maintenance experience is preferred.
• Good communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to assist in all maintenance duties
• Additional education, training, or certification preferred
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to constantly stand and walk with occasional stooping, kneeling, ascending, reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting
