Overview

Job Description: Seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain the daily operations of a 78-unit apartment community in Hackensack, NJ. This position is responsible for maintaining and servicing the building facilities and tenant work orders. This is a full-time, onsite position offering a competitive salary, benefits, and a spacious apartment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests from management and tenants such as appliance repairs, simple plumbing/electric repairs, painting, etc.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate and assist with apartment turnovers, including working with outside contractors.
• Perform general maintenance repairs and tasks in a manner that is safe to self, residents, and staff.
• Prioritize service requests and general maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program that minimizes emergency repairs, service requests and the utilization of outside contractors.
• Assist with special projects or additional duties assigned by Supervisor essential for property operations.
• Work with tenants and other staff members in a positive manner.
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Appliance Repairs, Sheetrock, General Carpentry, Painting and Caulking.
• Ice/Snow Removal

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of experience in property maintenance, handling work orders and performing preventative maintenance.
• Available to be on call during weekdays and weekends as necessary to respond to emergency calls/work orders.
• Must have own tools and valid driver's license.

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00/hr
