Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking a hands-on hotel maintenance worker responsible for the upkeep of guest rooms and public areas. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical repairs, and basic carpentry, ensuring safety standards are met and service requests are handled promptly.

The role requires at least two years in hotel or apartment maintenance, knowledge of electrical/plumbing basics, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general guest room and public area maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
• Checks guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, TVs, and lighting; performs repairs as needed.
• Provides status updates to Front Desk, Chief Engineer, and Executive Housekeeper.
• Performs general carpentry, tiling, painting and wall surface repairs.
• Responds to guest questions, complaints, or requests in a timely, courteous manner.
• Maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.
• Completes preventive maintenance checklists and maintenance records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Checks on all guest room electrical appliances and circuits, including refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making repairs where necessary.
• Provides guest room service/repair status to Front Desk, Chief Engineer, and Executive Housekeeper.
• Performs general carpentry, tiling, painting and wall surface repairs.
• Responds in a timely, courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
• Properly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.
• Completes preventive maintenance checklists and other maintenance records.
