Job summary

PROMAN Staffing USA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Greensboro facility to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy industrial printing and packaging machinery, keeping production downtime to a minimum.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience and strong mechanical and electrical skills, including PLCs and pneumatic systems, with 12-hour rotating shifts. On-site work is required.

Job description

Duties:

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex industrial machinery in a fast-paced flexographic printing and packaging facility. The role requires at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience and focuses on keeping production downtime to an absolute minimum.

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the production plant running smoothly by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on heavy industrial printing and packaging machinery. This role demands strong mechanical and electrical skills.

The schedule is 1st shift: 7am-7pm or 3rd shift: 7pm-7am; 2-2-3 rotating.

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on plant equipment to reduce downtime.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections, lubrication, and parts replacements to prevent sudden machine breakdowns.
• Equipment Setup: Set up, calibrate, and adjust packaging and printing machines to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Record Keeping: Log maintenance activities, track repairs, and manage spare parts inventory.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety rules and regulations while working in a fast-paced, industrial environment

Typical Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in industrial machinery maintenance, ideally in printing or packaging operations.
• Skills: Solid understanding of mechanics, electronics, PLCs, and pneumatic systems.
• Education: A high school diploma or GED is generally required; technical trade degrees or certifications are highly preferred.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and work in 12-hour or rotating shift environments.
