Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance experience
• Experience with electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is preferred
• Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus
• Ability to work safely and independently as well as in a team

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment across multiple systems (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and perform root-cause analysis
• Dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery
• Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies
• Ensure compliance with safety, production, and housekeeping standards
• Coordinate activities with supervisors and departments
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to process improvements

HM Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our client's team on a long-term basis. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, as well as fabricating metal parts and tools to support production operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot machinery and equipment malfunctions.
• Dismantle, assemble, and install industrial machinery.
• Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
• Establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Suggest changes to work processes and equipment usage to improve efficiency.
• Analyze and resolve work-related issues and assist team members with troubleshooting.
• Coordinate activities with other supervisors and departments.
• Perform maintenance tasks and duties as needed.
• Utilize 5S principles to ensure tools, equipment, and inventory are properly organized.
• Actively participate as a member of the Safety Committee.
• Maintain working knowledge of PLC systems.
• Supervise maintenance employees and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDEP, NCDEQ, and company safety, production, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Technical certificate, vocational training, or relevant maintenance experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of PLC systems preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
