Job summary

NorthEast Residential Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in Gray, Maine. The ideal candidate will manage maintenance tickets, prioritize tasks, and service multiple office spaces and homes.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $21.00–$25.00, with a $1,500 sign-on bonus payable over the first year, and benefits including paid time off, holidays, 401K, and EAP. Must have a Maine driver’s license and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid Maine Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Must pass criminal, APS and CPS background checks.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance work orders and documents information in Monday.com.
• Prepares vacated homes/rooms for occupancy.
• Maintains grounds and cleans common areas according to schedule.
• Performs seasonal grounds maintenance (snow/ice removal, mowing, pruning).
• Rotates emergency coverage with Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains and cleans workshops and storage areas.
• Repairs/replaces major appliances and seeks supervisor assistance as needed.
• Handle after-hour emergency calls and on-call as needed.
• Prepare surfaces and paint building interiors as necessary.
• Inspect properties weekly/monthly for safety concerns.
• Collaborate with vendors as needed.
• Work independently using technical knowledge and judgment.

NorthEast Residential Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will work well around people, be able to prioritize maintenance tickets, while maintaining multiple office space and homes.

Job Requirements

• Performs necessary work orders, assigned by Maintenance Supervisor, Program/House Manager orCOO and documentsnecessary information in Monday.com.
• Prepares vacated homes/rooms when designated.
• Depending on the site/need, work may include cleaning of common areas of buildings according to site maintenance schedule and NRS standards. Keeps grounds free of debris, removes and properly disposes of rubbish and trash.
• Performs necessary seasonal grounds maintenance including but not necessarily limited to: snow/ice removal, pruning of trees/shrubbery, mowing of lawn, planting etc.
• Rotates emergency coverage with Maintenance Supervisor as required.
• Maintains the workshop, utility room(s), mechanical rooms, and workspaces to ensure the rooms are kept clean, orderly, and safe from potential hazard.
• Repairs/replaces major appliances as required (refrigerators, dishwashers, stoves, garbage disposal and washers and dryers). Seeks assistance from Maintenance Supervisor when necessary
• Able to handle after-hour emergency calls and be on-call as needed.
• Prepares surfaces and paints building interiors as necessary.
• Walks properties weekly/monthly to look for maintenance/safety concerns that need attention.
• Works with vendors as needed.
• Ability to work independently, using own technical knowledge and judgment. Alerts supervisor if support is needed.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or COO as necessary.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
• Must possess a valid Maine Driver’s License, with a clean driving record
• Must pass criminal, APS and CPS background checks
• Ability to drive agency vehicle where applicable
