Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for our Grand Island, NE facility. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment supporting daily operations, with exposure to industrial refrigeration systems.

Required: at least 1 year of maintenance experience or trade training, basic computer skills, valid driver’s license, and a desire for a long-term career. Overtime and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience or a combination of maintenance experience and technical/trade school training.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, building/property maintenance, or material handling equipment maintenance.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools; basic computer skills; strong troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with inspections and basic maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders and document inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Communicate equipment concerns and repair recommendations to leadership.
• Safely operate power tools, welding equipment, lifts, and other maintenance equipment.
• Follow safety policies and keep a clean, organized work area.

In this role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment that supports our daily operations. You'll work alongside an experienced maintenance team and have the opportunity to expand your skills, including exposure to industrial refrigeration systems. If you enjoy solving mechanical problems, working with your hands, and building a long-term career in industrial maintenance, we'd love to hear from you.## **What You'll Do*** Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment, machinery, and building systems.* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues to minimize downtime.* Assist with inspections and basic maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment (ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus).* Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment following manufacturer and company guidelines.* Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.* Communicate equipment concerns and repair recommendations to leadership.* Safely operate power tools, welding equipment, lifts, and other maintenance equipment as needed.* Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work area.* Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.## **What We're Looking For**### Required Qualifications* At least **1 year of maintenance experience** or a combination of maintenance experience and technical/trade school training.* Experience in one or more of the following: + Industrial or manufacturing maintenance + Building or property maintenance + Material handling equipment maintenance + Mechanical or automotive repair + Hotel or facilities maintenance* Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.* Basic computer skills.* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.* Valid driver's license.* Stable work history with a desire to build a long-term career.* Candidates should reside within approximately **40–50 miles** of the Grand Island facility.### Preferred Qualifications* Experience in industrial refrigeration or cold storage environments.* Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.* Experience working in food manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or industrial environments.## ## **Physical Requirements*** Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.* Ability to work in temperatures ranging from **-20°F in freezer environments to 100°F in dry storage areas** while wearing required personal protective equipment.* Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces throughout the shift.* Ability to work overtime, participate in an on-call rotation, and work occasional weekends as business needs require.* Some locations may require working at heights and in environments with elevated noise levels.Why Lineage?
