Job summary

Courtyards in Fulton, MS is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to keep our facility safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. You’ll maintain building systems, respond to requests, and support daily operations to ensure a comfortable environment.

This hands-on role requires 1–3 years of maintenance experience, working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety best practices, and the ability to use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care environments
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance practices
• Ability to safely and effectively use hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to help prevent costly repairs and downtime
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders
• Maintain facility grounds, including minor landscaping, snow removal, and exterior upkeep as needed
• Assist with inspections and testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and life safety equipment
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and general building maintenance
• Help with room turnovers and preparing rooms for new admissions
• Identify and reporting safety hazards, structural concerns, or equipment issues
• Support emergency preparedness and responding to facility emergencies when needed
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition
• Completing accurate work order documentation and preventative maintenance logs
• Following OSHA, life safety, infection control, PPE, and other established safety requirements
• Working collaboratively with staff across the facility to support a safe and well-maintained environment
