• Ensures safe work practices by staff and contractors.
• Maintains building and grounds and systems.
• Documents maintenance activities in CMMS.
• Assists in parts and supply purchasing.
• Ensures MIOSHA safety standards are followed.

Job description

Maintenance Technician

Assists in installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and capital equipment companywide. Provides expertise to maintenance and production personnel when required to meet production and company goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Studies machine and equipment blueprints and manuals and confers with the production department to resolve problems related to machine and equipment operation, repair, and maintenance.

Assists in movement and installation of capital equipment.

Required to perform maintenance, installation, trouble-shootings, and repair activities and operate machine tools and equipment to meet operational deadlines.

Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machines and equipment as required.

Read service guides to find information needed to perform repairs.

Ensures the use of safe work practices by staff and contractors as required by policy and/or regulatory standards.

Maintain building and grounds and all systems there in as required.

Document all maintenance and repair activities on the CMMS program.

Assists i n parts and supply purchasing .

Ensures all MIOSHA safety standards are followed and enforced.
