Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facility and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position performs a broad range of maintenance activities involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, and facility systems. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in supporting production by minimizing equipment downtime, completing preventive maintenance, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Perform a variety of maintenance and repair activities on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, machine tools, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, refrigeration equipment, and other facility-related systems.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections and complete assigned maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules.
  • Assist with the movement and disposal of non-production materials, including equipment, machinery, metal chips, waste materials, oils, and other shop-related items.
  • Collect, prepare, and load scrap metal for recycling or disposal.
  • Perform hazardous waste management duties in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Report defective equipment, unsafe conditions, or questionable materials through established reporting processes.
  • Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Complete assigned maintenance projects and work orders with minimal supervision.
  • Support emergency repairs and unplanned maintenance activities as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical maintenance, facility maintenance, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow maintenance procedures, work instructions, and safety policies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and management.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift and be available for emergency or off-shift maintenance assignments as neede.
