Maintenance Technician

Join St. Patrick's Manor, a faith‑based nonprofit short‑ and long‑term care facility. The facility is located on manicured lawns and gardens in Framingham, MA, just minutes from Route 9.

We are seeking to fill the Maintenance Technician – Full‑Time position.

The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Maintenance Director to maintain mechanical plant equipment and the physical environment of the building and grounds.

Requirements

• Preferred, but will train, previous maintenance experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate common hand tools
• Knowledge and interest in working with elderly residents
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Job Summary

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment
• Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed
• Do mechanical repairs on items such as hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment
• Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and upkeep of computers
• Maintain equipment as necessary
