Job summary

Eastern Wholesale Fence LLC in Fort Mill, SC seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform daily routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of vital systems. Responsibilities include rebuilding pumps, gearboxes, and CNC devices, and mentoring junior staff.

Training and safety are emphasized as essential parts of the role. The position is dayshift with 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM hours, with additional availability based on OPS needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience reading mechanical and electrical prints or schematics.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing plant troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment.
  • Intermediate to advanced electrical training or experience with up to 480V circuits.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

  • Identify functional failures through troubleshooting and decide to replace or rebuild failed components.
  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment including inspections, filters, oil changes, grease, and document findings.
  • Troubleshoot electrical components such as motor starters, relays, overloads, fuses and safety circuits.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic equipment, CNC equipment, dust-collection and blow-down devices, solenoids.
  • Troubleshoot CNC routers, perform repairs and programming as needed.
  • Manage Powder conveying systems, vacuum pumps, belt drives, and level sensors.
  • Communicate with management and the maintenance team; collaborate on TPM.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety procedures.

Job Summary

Will perform daily routine of vital systems and report findings. Equipment inspections and Preventive maintenance activities daily, monthly, and quarterly with a high level of precision. Trouble shoot failed equipment and investigate root cause of failure. Rebuild pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and slide gate devices, CNCs as needed. Balance multiple tasks to completion based on plant priority. Train and mentor less experienced colleges to develop teams.

Essential Job Functions
  • Identify functional failures through trouble shooting methods and make decisions to replace or rebuild failed component.
  • Routine maintenance on all equipment: Inspections, filters change, oil change, grease, and document findings.
  • Trouble shoot electrical components motor starters, solid state relays, overloads, fuses, safety circuits, motors, solenoids.
  • Pneumatic equipment trouble shooting CNC equipment, dust-collection & blow-down devices, solenoids.
  • CNC Router troubleshooting, repairs, and programming.
  • Powder conveying system; Vacuum pumps, sheave alignment, drive belts, level sensors.
  • Communicate with management and corporate maintenance and management team.
  • General mechanical Experience
  • Maintain awareness of new systems and techniques in order to upgrade existing equipment and processes
  • Follow safety procedures and work carefully at all times to prevent injuries and avoid damage to company property
  • Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers to achieve company goals and objectives
  • Use of proper lock-out procedure and personal protective equipment.
  • Responds to emergency breakdown and repairs which may occur outside operating hours

Requirements
  • Experience reading and interpreting documents such as mechanical, and electrical prints or schematics.
  • 3 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing plant, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment as well as maintaining the building and grounds.
  • Intermediate to Advanced electrical training or experience with single and three phase electrical circuits up to 480 volts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, job related internet research, and experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
  • Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
  • Trade or vocational school degree or related experience
  • Proficiency in operating electric or propane-fueled forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift.
  • Minimum 3 years of documented experience
Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
