Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, the Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality apartments, and responds to customer service requests.

Essential Functions

Maintenance Services

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services
• Assist with maintenance of storage areas and materials
• Refurbish and renovate apartments per standards
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality
• Report safety concerns and participate in safety meetings
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific issues such as asbestos
• Perform other duties as required
• Keep accurate records of all tasks completed

Customer Service

• Manage maintenance in the absence of the Supervisor, including scheduling and ordering supplies
• Complete service requests according to standards
• Be available for weekend, on-call, and after-hours emergency work
• Assist at other properties if needed
• Run errands to support the property

Skills & Abilities

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; CFC Universal Certification preferred (to be obtained within 90 days)

Experience: 3-4 years of maintenance experience

Technical Skills: Computer proficiency preferred

Other Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
