Job summary

Atlas Molded Products in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking a 1st or 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. Starting pay is $28–$40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, with a path toward advancing skills.

You will perform PMs, document work, troubleshoot equipment, assist with light construction, and ensure safety compliance. Candidates should be fluent in English, able to operate a forklift, and comfortable using basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation within safety guidelines.
• Maintenance/mechanical systems experience preferred.
• English language fluency, written and spoken.
• Ability to use simple math and basic handheld measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on machinery and equipment.
• Document maintenance activities for accurate records.
• Install logo plates and inserts as needed.
• Follow safe tooling practices and identify leaks or issues.
• Ensure equipment operates properly and perform light construction tasks as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment to determine root cause and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Support safety programs (lockout/tagout) and maintain equipment knowledge.

Job description

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a 1st or 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for the Fond du Lac, WI facility. Join our team with flexible scheduling and starting pay of $28–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications.

• General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures
• Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all machinery.
• Properly document maintenance performed so that accurate records can be kept.
• Install logo plates and inserts as needed
• Follow tooling best practices:
• Label defective materials for rebuild, store in proper location
• Storage and safe handling of tools
• Help to identify leaks in tooling and repair as needed
• Ensure that all new and existing equipment or machinery is operating properly.
• Perform light construction tasks, such as building repairs, painting, general upkeeping as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify root cause.
• Recognize and adhere to all best practices for safety (i.e., lock out/tag out, etc.)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Serve as an advanced technical resource in a given maintenance specialty (i.e. fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, controllers, etc.)
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems at various voltages (120V, 277V, 240V, 480V)
• Monitor and maintain outside building maintenance as needed (shoveling, salting, etc.)
• Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned

Maintenance Technician Experience

• Must be able to operate forklift within the safety guidelines established by AMP
• Experience with maintenance/mechanical systems preferred.

Maintenance Technician Lead Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Will be trained to become familiar with general safety.
• Will be trained to become familiar with general Quality System/Workmanship standards.
• Must be fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
• Must be able to use simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools

Additional Information

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift
• Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 100 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
