Job summary

Essex Meadows is seeking a hospitality-focused Maintenance Technician to join our team in Essex, CT. The role supports resident services by maintaining common areas, performing painting, drywall, and basic electrical/plumbing tasks, and ensuring timely work orders are completed.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and prior experience in senior living or healthcare settings; Plumbing/HVAC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience in senior living or healthcare setting is highly desired.
• Plumbing/HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residential painting schedule.
• Maintain the esthetics of high traffic common areas.
• Perform drywall repairs as needed.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work.
• Perform record keeping tasks associated with work orders.
• Perform general labor under supervisor’s request.
• Be available for emergency situations.
• Assist Lead Mechanic and P.M. Mechanic as needed.
• Keep repair parts inventory up to date.
• Snow removal duties when necessary.
