Job summary

Presque Isle Downs & Casino in Erie, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. You will tackle a variety of tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, machine servicing, and table games maintenance, while prioritizing safety.

We value hands-on problem solvers who can work independently yet collaborate with a fast-paced casino operation. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Vocational skills desired.
• Language Ability – Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Math Ability – Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Reasoning Ability – Apply common sense to carry out instructions, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Computer Skills – Knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC’s are preferred.
• Certificates and Licenses – Obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and hold a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Noise level is loud on the casino floor. Candidate will be exposed to smoke when on the casino floor. Candidate must be organized and able to work in a fast‑paced and demanding environment. Employee will be required to sit, stoop, bend, climb, reach and stand for extended periods. Must have excellent dexterity of hands and fingers to complete daily tasks. Required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to talk and hear for proper communication. Job requires strong vision skills.
