Job summary

EDEN is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician in Elyria to keep our facilities running smoothly. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and conduct preventive maintenance on building systems.

The role includes on-site work, collaboration with a dedicated team, and an on-call rotation for urgent needs. Requires a trade or technical school background with 2+ years of relevant experience (or 3+ years).

Qualifications

• Trade/technical school training plus 2+ years of maintenance experience or 3+ years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and perform repairs.
• Strong communication skills for work orders and coordination.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with 4 points or less and access to a insured vehicle.
• Must be able to participate in on-call rotation.

What's your day like?

As a Maintenance Technician at EDEN, you will encounter a variety of daily responsibilities that contribute to the seamless operation of our facilities. Your typical day will involve conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. You will work on repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, ensuring that all areas meet safety and quality standards. Expect to collaborate closely with team members and communicate regularly with staff to address any maintenance requests promptly. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, allowing for a work-life balance, but you will also be on-call to respond to urgent maintenance needs as they arise.

Flexibility and a proactive approach will be key to your success in this role, ensuring that our facilities remain safe and welcoming to all who enter.

What Matters Most

To excel as a Maintenance Technician at EDEN, you will need a combination of technical skills and practical experience. A strong foundation from a trade or technical school is beneficial, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic, or a minimum of 3 years of direct work experience. An adequate set of tools is essential for performing daily job tasks, and you will need to demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot independently and carry out repairs efficiently to maintain our facilities.

Strong communication skills are necessary to address maintenance-related work orders promptly and effectively. A valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less is required, as well as an operable vehicle and proof of insurance. Additionally, you must be capable of participating in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance needs as they arise.

Knowledge And Skills Required For The Position Are

• A Maintenance Technician at EDEN will need an adequate set of tools to perform daily job tasks.
• Trade and/or technical school training paired with at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a maintenance technician or mechanic preferred.
• Or 3 years of relevant maintenance technician or mechanic work experience preferred.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and perform daily repairs to maintain and upkeep company facilities.
• Strong communication skills are essential to address maintenance related work orders efficiently.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with 4 points or less.
• Operable vehicle and proof of insurance.
• Must be able to work on call rotation.
