Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites Elkhart is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, and building systems safe and running smoothly. You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance across the property.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and furniture; maintaining pool, fitness room, grounds, and back-of-house spaces; completing work orders and inspections; and staying on call evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel, building, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.

About the Role

Keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. The Maintenance Technician performs repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and building systems at Fairfield Inn & Suites Elkhart.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair guest-room issues including plumbing, electrical, HVAC/PTAC units, fixtures, and furniture.
• Maintain public areas, pool, fitness room, exterior grounds, and back-of-house spaces.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and room inspections; keep accurate work-order logs.
• Respond promptly to guest and team maintenance requests.
• Follow safety procedures and handle chemicals and tools properly.
• Be available for on-call duties as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements
