Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to service and repair DC equipment, forklifts, conveyors, and related systems. You will perform basic repairs, follow strict safety protocols, and operate within CMMS/EMS environments to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years in the maintenance field.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of conveyor systems and power equipment experience is a plus.
• General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, water, building repairs, and housekeeping procedures.
• Knowledge of building codes, trade standards, and general practices in maintenance.
• Knowledge of electricity, mechanical, construction, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Follow all safety guidelines, with a strong emphasis on lock-out tag-out and fall protection.
• Obtain and maintain a PIT (powered industrial truck) license to operate all PIV equipment within 90 days of employment.
• Complete tasks on target performance and other duties as assigned.
• Apply basic electrical skills, including use of a multimeter and ability to change receptacles, switches, and lighting ballast.
• Read blueprints and schematics.
• Perform general maintenance including painting, plumbing, facility upkeep, snow/ice removal, and salting where applicable.
• Execute basic PMs on all associated equipment, identifying damaged or defective equipment and repairing it in a timely manner.
• Work in elevated locations.
• Detect safety hazards and plan/organize safe solutions.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain cleanliness in all assigned work areas.
• Willingness to work any and all shifts, including weekends and overtime.
• Interact with and control automated handling control systems.
• Maintain records as required.
• Use the EMS (Energy Management System).
• Repair belt types.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for equipment preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs on forklifts, conveyors, and associated Distribution Center (DC) equipment as well as general maintenance of the DC. Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical failures. Safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery. Knowledge of distribution center technology and process flow. Provide technical training to facility’s utility technicians. Work within safety guidelines, TJX procedures, and under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor and CMMS Tech.

This position has a starting pay range of $25.35 to $34.20 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
