Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. Memphis Fulfillment Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our material handling and facility systems running smoothly. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain PLC, Profibus, InControl Ware, conveyance, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across our distribution operations.

Schedule: Friday-Sunday 6am-6:30pm. Starting pay ranges from $19.05 to $25.75 per hour, with starting pay determined by skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLC and Profibus control and InControl Ware system.
• Install, maintain, and repair building and electrical systems including but not limited to 230/460-volt three phase systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including those found on lift truck equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair conveyor systems.
• Welding duties to include layout, fabrication, cutting, and welding of various types of structural and light duty metals in a maintenance environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all material handling equipment.
• Performs general construction installations, maintenance and repairs (carpentry, plumbing, flooring, etc.).
• Maintain interior and exterior concrete and asphalt repairs including snow/ice removal.
• Maintain and repair dock equipment (lights, doors and levelers).
• Perform safety inspections and record maintenance as assigned.

Job Description

• Maintain and repair all dock equipment (lights, doors and levelers).
• Perform safety inspections and record maintenance as assigned.
• Assists in the dismantling of machines or equipment, replacement of defective parts and motors, and adjustment of feed mechanisms.
• Performs battery change on power equipment.
• Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.
• Requisitions new materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
• Performs other special projects or duties as assigned.
