Job summary

Linde in the United States seeks a maintenance professional to operate and sustain a production facility. You will collaborate with a team of four to develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across multiple processes, plan turnaround activities, and manage mechanical work cost estimation.

The role involves troubleshooting pumps and compressors, supporting reliability programs, and coordinating materials while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems and reliability best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe operation of the production facility with a team of four maintenance professionals.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities including turnarounds.
  • Repair and maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps and compressors.
  • Support reliability programs and RCA investigations for major failures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in rotating on-call and provide emergency maintenance support.
  • Assist purchasing and manage plant materials and spare parts.
  • Work in office and field environments including elevated access.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • You will ensure the safe and reliable operation of the production facility by collaborating with a team of four maintenance professionals to develop, manage, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across multiple processes
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute maintenance activities, including turnaround planning, scheduling, mechanical work cost estimation, and resolution of high-impact reliability issues
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, including centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, and reciprocating compressors, while making independent technical decisions and recommendations in the field
  • Support equipment reliability programs through Pressure Relief Device (PRD) maintenance, vibration data collection, grease route execution, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for major failures
  • Support compliance-related inspections and ensure adherence to applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule and provide emergency maintenance support, including weekends, nights, holidays, and other overtime requirements
  • Support purchasing activities and manage plant materials, equipment, spare parts, and consumable inventories to maintain operational readiness
  • Perform work in both office and field environments, including outdoor work in varying weather conditions and access to elevated equipment via ladders, scaffolding, man‑lifts, and crane baskets
Qualifications
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; Associate's degree in a mechanical‑related field or ten (10) years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Proven experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, manual valves, and related systems
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems, equipment, methodologies, and reliability best practices
  • You have proven ability to work independently, lead or participate on cross‑functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and team interaction skills
  • Proficiency with computers and standard business software, including Microsoft Office, email applications, and asset management systems such as Infor EAM and ProCal
  • You have understanding of applicable regulatory requirements, industrial standards, and codes
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% to support regional facilities
